I was browsing througha health shop the other day and found this bottle of green gunk by nature sunshine. It's liquid chlorophyll and ment for human consumtion, but i'm not drinking it, it smells horrible! I wanna know how beneficial this will be for my plants. did i just waste 15$?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yes, you wasted the money Chlorophyll is a complex molecule, that cant cross the cell wall to be absorbed into the cells. There is also a structural conponent to how chlorophyll is used in a plants chloroplasts, which manufacture all the chlorophyll the plant needs. If you have problems with your plants not producing enough chlorophyll, its usually one of three problems. Most likely in hydro is lack of magnesium, second is usually not enough CO2, rarely it can be from too much light. Too much light in this case means something along the lines of 25k+ lumens/sq ft, something your retina will TELL you is too much.Oh, technically it can be cuased by not enough light, but since most people dont try to raise their plants in total darkness 24/7 i didnt originally include that reason. Dietary chlorophyll suppliments are usually used to combat bad breath and horrible farts. It also acts to reduce nausea (despite the gag taste of it)
