![]() | Hey Oz, very nice indeed... You've given me a few ideas for an improved next setup but I was wondering if I could get you to elaborate on a few things. You use a flood table, fill it and it drains back to nute res? You mention you alternate waterings with nutes & fresh water. How do you accomplish that with your flood table setup?? Do you manually switch the drains (since you only water a couple times a day) or what? You know so that nutes drain back to res and fresh water to another res or to waste. Or do you just drain everything to waste?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | thanks for the nice comments people, I hope y'all got something out of the thread. LordRaven: I doint alternate between freah and nutrient in the ebb and flo at all, thats for the handwatered where I alternate. The SOG flowering room only runs nutrient. Santorini:I have friends who have grown powerplant, its ok but not for me, we all have our own preferences ![]()

I also use ebb and flo with a similiar regime for feeding but have never tried sea of green. Few quick questions - 1. With close proximity of plants how does light penetration effect the lower portions? 2. How many litres of water in your resevoir for each plant? 3. What is the average hieght at flowering and again at harvest?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hello sweetleaf420 1. I get penetration right to the bottoms, its a SOG grow. 1200 watts over 12 sqr foot ie., 1 table. 2. Absolutley no idea whatsoever, its a 65 litre res. 3. Depends on the strain, from 12 to 36 inches at finish/harvest. Clones are from 8 to 10 inches depending on strain.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hey S2, i use granular rockwool, its like rockwool potting mix, it holds a reasonable amount of solution and has good drainage also. My moms are in 8 inch squat pots filled with perlite and vermiculite mixture. They are handwatered.

![]() | hey oz love your grow!! (wish i had the room....im using a small closet with 400w hps and no mothers) anyways, i was wondering if you could give some more info about your vermiculite-perlite mixtures..... do u use this mixture in your sog flowering room too? is that part of your table functiion? can i use the vermiculite-perlite mixture for larger plants, like your mom's i suppose... i grow out about 4-6 females (depending on males, etc) per grow and was thinking of trying a few in a more hydro method. without a table i would water from below, filling the tray with nutes, right? would you recommend a smaller or larger pot for this method? you also mentioned that ph you were using was 5.7. why so low? is this better for the passive hydro method? i grow in organic soil now and use organic nutes, and would like to continue organic with this method too. what nutes do u use and what do u think of organic solns? i noticed that u use grow cubes for germination, and in smaller cups. how do u transplant them then? ive seen methods where the perlite mix is rinsed away to expose roots and then the roots are transplanted in fresh mix. or since its sog, do u even bother? i know i know lots o'questions. soil grower considering increased learning. dig? thanks, jimmyB
