I wonder if we could tempt someone into doing a thread on this, sort of a general growing environment thread? talking about the effects of different relitive humidity, extreme ventilation etc. I think it takes a couple of seasons growing to get the feel for these things, but putting it down so anyone could understand it, is another matter CC your grow is an inspiration, Bloody good show mate ![]() San | ||||

Can eveyone say "PERFECTION" ????? I aspire to have that exact same set up one day. That's one of the least obvious grows I have ever seen. Enjoy that a little more than usual for me today man. Beautiful. Peace-

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Poon---> I'm very pleased to see so many people starting to build grow cabinets. If you need some advice, drop me a line...always happy to help San---> Well...get on it! That type of thread would be an intersting read Come back again...the show will continue unil this crop is done.C-Town---> Thanks man! I'm including a few pics of my primary ventilation...they should help you get an idea of what's involved in venting 800 watts worth of heat. Sackren---> They will be harvested (Ohhh...joy!) in about 5 weeks...give or take a few days. I try not to talk numbers on the boards...but suffice it to say, it's enough for me and the boys to smoke our faces off Phread is a very busy man as of late...I borrow the camera and do most of the shooting myself. Bill Hicks---> If you want to set one of these gardens up...get about $1500 american, a shopping list from me, and a lot of time & energy ...and you'll be up and running within a week. Seriously, PM if you want to talk this over more. Here is the primary extraction fan (165 cfm) that is on the left side of the cabinet. It draws out most of the heated air from the left bulb.

The 4" inline fan(105 cfm) facing the camera is what draws most of the heat from the right side bulb. There is a 6" inline fan(165 cfm) mounted on the other end of the "Y" pipe. All extraction fans vent to the back of the cabinet. There are two more 105 cfm inline booster fans that keep the air moving quickly during its trip down the dryer hoses The right side and left side both vent independantly...meaning, there is two vent pipes from this cabinet.

And quite possibly what allows me to have so many watts in such a small space These two 4" fixed fans push the hot air from around the bulbs towards their respective extraction fans. I can get the plants remarkably close to the bulbs because of the air "stratification" that I designed into the cabinet. I just spent 5 minutes trying to explain what it means...but I'll draw up a picture to show airflow instead. I'll post my airflow drawing in the next few days...It will explain things much better than I can. C.C.

Here is what the floor of the cab looks like. Two 4" intake holes on each side...and a 24" x 8" hole on the rear wall of the cabinet. Obviously, all intake holes are light proof ![]()

...I'm no artist As you can see, I've somewhat "stratified" the warm and cool air. If you put your hand about 10" from the bulb, you feel air moving towards the centre of the cabinet. If you put your hand within 6" of the bulb, you feel (much warmer air) moving towards the ends of the cabinet(and the extraction fans) I beleive that this is one of the keys to maintain high lumens per sq ft...aggressively seperating warm and cool air quickly. Basically, it's an air cooled hood...without the hoodC.C.
