SoG - Sea of Green Indoor method for growing marijuana. Many plnats are grown close together with little time spent in vegitative growth. Rather than a few plants growing large and filling the canopy, many smaller plants are forced into flowering, creating a lower canopy and earlier harvest. I couldnt find this information anywhere on the site so i decided to add it myself, hope this helps others too. BB

I'll be adding a thread of "What is SoG". That is, unless our local SoG master beats me to it C.C.

![]() | Cheers for the thread CC. Ive been thinking about this sea of green technique as i have a small space to grow in. I been growing a female plant in a hydro setup from the beginning of October, Ive taken clones from it, and topped it once. Most of the clones are rooted now and ready to give to friends to look after. Now I want to bud the mother plant. The thing is its too big to bud in my cupboard. I was thinking of turing it on its side and training it. Is this possible/viable in your opinion. Would i be better to train with a small plant? I was thinking the side branches might get better use of the light?

![]() | What about the buds underneath the canopy...do they receive enough light? I was also thinking instead having the chicken wire going straight left to right if you bent it so it would form a "V" shape. You can tie the cola and stems to and it would take care of the uneven canopy problem. It would be like a verticle LST type scrog training...know what I mean or do I have to explain it more detailed?
