From the top See the branch growing off to the left? Sucker is growing so fast its throwing off the shape of my planter. Ill need to do some creativce tieing to get it enclosed in the planters profile like LST

The above mentioned branch is still going to the left. I would consider topping it to halt its growth if I thought the plant would get enough veg growth to recover. I plan on flowering in the next week or two.

dam smokin, they look great :/ mmm <glare at plants, 'hoi you b*tches sort yourselves out!!'> by tying it equal with the lowr branches then you're not replacing it as the apical whateverystem .. so can you have more than one in a plant? I guess its kinda an accross the plant version of topping .. when people topped they created two equal growtips .. both I imagine would be producing auxin stuff .. so why cant that occur with say the bottom branch and the top .. depending how you have the plant staked out ![]() I can see the time coming where Im going have to sit down and read some of the techie stuff arent I ![]()

![]() | might i suggest using a weight on a hooked wire to keep the apic meristem below the branch internode. whenever it starts to bend toward the light...move the weight outward to keep it horizontal. TCC did something interesting with hers. down the line from where you are at...she bent the main apic into a C so that it was back in the middle. did you see that? $.02 zoomy Last edited by Xzoomd; 05-15-2002 at 11:56 AM..

![]() | Lookin good SR.. ::humbly approaches:: I find that I train them just a lil more extreme than you, I hook my gal up, and she just follows training, naturally. I broke the *Y* on my first grow, I will never make that mistake again (zealous training I have trained her per Delta's method, and thus far ended up with a lush plant, very well trained. with a promising canopy. Her *apex meristem* has been trained BACK into the fold, so my gal looks like an inverted *?* .....my a-meristem was extending past the pot, and I puller her back into a *C* formation, and than, just last night, I pulled her down ONE last time, and she is now within her boundaries all around, right where I want her while she develops her flowers. But that is me, as I saw something grow, I tied it down, and when something else grew comparably as long, I would tie that too, hence all these meristems were growing on top of each other and just trained when old/long enough. I see your training, mebbe I need glasses, but my training looks a lot more aggressive than your's......... even tho it really isn't ![]() ::leans down and tosses $.02 in the opinion jar:: PS LOVE this thread!

lurkapup wrote: >>Im wondering if this connects to Delta's barbell model .. if like the plant will actually reduce its own above soil growth to keep pace with its root structure .. while it'll still grow above ground it does slow down a lot if the roots arent their to warrent new growth.. << Yup, that is one of the responses the plant has to being rootbound, slowed or stopped growth. lurkapup wrote: >>cant you treat them like mainstems and tie them down .. so that they all begin to have improved lateral growth as well ... so basically grow large branches on your branches << Yeah, you can do that, but the veg growth required is long and youll have to have a flower light and flowering container that are up to the task. Remember, more veg growth=bigger plants, every time. >>Im wondering how auxing work<< Follow Delta around in this forum, search out his old posts, heck, read this thread again. Im just reading up on auxins myself TCC wrote: >>I broke the *Y* on my first grow, I will never make that mistake again (zealous training ) << If you bend the parts of the "Y" in the other direction (instead of bending away from each other, bend them toward and past each other, so they overlap at the base, you wont have to worry about that "Y" snapping. Ive only broke a dozen or so the same way before you TCC wrote: >>Her *apex meristem* has been trained BACK into the fold, so my gal looks like an inverted *?* .....my a-meristem was extending past the pot, and I puller her back into a *C* formation, and than, just last night, I pulled her down ONE last time, and she is now within her boundaries all around, right where I want her while she develops her flowers.<< Exactly my solution as well. You see it in the pics coming up later Smokin
