I like these training styles around here. I thought I would contribute to the training cause and show some early flowering training I am in the process of. I even tie down some annoying fan leaves.

![]() | i just had a question about how u did your lst training i understand it to be that u tie the main stock down in like 7 day intervals. My question is about the other branches that u tie inorder to max out your light. Do u keep those tied for 7 day intervals as well or what?

I always leave my ties on, as long as it dont cut into the plant it is fine. I use some 2 ga. solid electrical wire and make a loop on one end and tie a string to the other end. The loop is big enough to give the stem some room to grow, then when the stem fills the loop I move the tie farther up or make the loop bigger if the tie doesnt need moving. Kind of a "learn as you go" process. I wouldnt use days as guidlines. Just let the plants tell you when to retie.

![]() | I was told to do a search for LST bysome 1 with more experience than me since i have none. Would you recommend training for a first grow and is there a certain strain that works best for this type of growing. O and by the way this should be added to the grow bible. You did an excellent job.

![]() | hey lionkill iam no expert on training yet but small amoutns of training is good your first grow dont aim for best results b/c its the grow you will learn soo much from that only can be taught by experimentation on you plant so if you were going to grow more then one plant i would train it with simple techniques like topping and bending tieing the plant down etc its hard to kill a plant by doing these and you will learn one hell of alot just dont expect it to turn out as the best plant that your going to grow no ones plant is great one the first trip round so basicly yes do some training good luck and make sure you let us know how it goes if you do hope it goes well

![]() | Hey thanks so much for this great thread its helping my babies get huge. I do have a question though: how long did you let that plant grow before flowering and how much should i expect my plants to grow in size during those first couple weeks of flowering? I have never done this before so i'm sketchy on how big i should grow my plants before flowering.

Can you cram so much knowledge into such a small space ![]() My heads banging with info.Question isss: Following this LST method closely, what sort of yield could be expected with a 70W HPS? I know it would depend on veg and flower time so just for example: -4weeks Veg -7Weeks Flower Cheers, peAce ![]()
