After months of thought ... and many hours of work ... I have finally completed one, of my two, bookshelf doors!  A touch over 6' tall ... and a tad over 2.5' wide (exterior dimensions). Total cost (everything bought at Home Depot) around $300 (Canadian) with wood (sanded pine), casing, trim, stain, hardware, etc.  To open the door ... remove the casing pieces (held in place by a snug fit and cabinet magnets).  Door opens ninety degrees ...  ... but it provides me with more than enough room to access my garden hidden behind the wall   To see what's behind door#1 ... stay tuned  I'm starting my new journal soon  Maven

| Wicked , now all you have to do is set up a book that when you pull on it the sides pop and the door swings open with a large " creeek " . ohh ohh and put it on the second floor and have a pole that you can glide down into the grow room . I haven't sussed out the logistics of getting out of the grow room yet though but its not really a bad place to get trapped | ||
