Talking Tie Your Mother Down! (now what? LOL)
permalink

I could NOT resist that title

You have all taught me SOOOOOOOO much.
Before I found this site, I could not make the lil plants grow
taller than 3 inches, and now I have a flowering bush
in my closet! This is hilarious!

Again, I owe it all to you all...thank you SOOO much

Well....Ivana started to flower on Dec 18, soil med, topped once, so she looks like a big *Y* with 4 tall colas......5 gal planter (I think) and she is about 2-1/2 feet tall....I should measure

I took Ivana and put the planter in a milk crate, just like Rav does ....than I tied the 4 points down, bended
over, so to speak.....my questions is this:

How long am I going to keep her like that, and should I slowly tighten, loosen, reposition the ties, or just leave them
How long?

Thank you again for all your good karma

I have a digi-cam I got from my bro, I should
be able to post pics soon

Your babies will adapt to their new position...so after a while you can take the strings off if you want. I tied down our main colas from close to the top, and now after removing the string they just stay that way! It looks cool...grows up and then a little "whoop-de-do" crook at the top! But now the top is the same level as the side growth and everybody's happy!

Congratulations on your "secret garden"...It's a great feeling!

And that Queen song DOES rock! I love it!
