 | Gudday folks, There are several Canadian growers trying the Omega Garden in a pratical situation and ave been doing so for a month or two now. There is some problems with the excessive root system and the buds growing toward the centre light placement. il find a copy of the thread they posted and pasteit here. peace, OzGrowa | ||

OZGrowa That was the first question that popped into my mind. Do those root systems just flop around like a wet mop as its rotating? Or are they completely contained by the pot? Neither would seem to be very healthy. Looks to me to be perfect for the worlds most efficient SOG setup. Also, I couldnt find specs on the light it uses, anyone know? Smokin | ||

| Hey folks Well I have seen a few pictures of the gardens cultivating da herb and yes, most of them are obviously going for the smaller Indicas. Flowering is as per normal as I dont think the auxin re-direction has a chanceto kick in properly, that or the plant gets the idea of homeostasis down real quick cause of all that spinning  The lamps in the unit I saw are 2x 400watt air cooled HPS, Eye Hortilux from memory.The rootzone problems are simply due to the large root mass of the marijuana plant, they have them in net buckets that are affixd to the drum, there is a tray at the bottom where the plants go through for a watering My big problem with this unit is that I grow for my pleasure, I like to watch the plants, this unit is pure production house, kind of like battery hens in a way...there is not much joy in there and I think the cost is daylight robbery, with those kind of $$$ I could grow twice as much as one of these units... just my opinions, OzGrowa | ||

if this grow yields what i think it's going to, you would be hard pressed to grow twice the amount for the same investment, all things considered Last edited by freemarijuana; 10-05-2002 at 06:53 PM.. | ||

| Welcome to HC.com freemarijuana  Interesting grow mate, how do you cope with the roots, are they totaly enclosed in those small pots  do you have to trim the roots? are they Indica, must be I think  It must have been a stoner's Idea in the first place  I'd just love to play with one of those Roll On Bloody good show mate  San | ||
