![]() ![]() | I made a decision not to post on here anymore with all of the DEA agents snooping around, but I'm breaking the silence to bring you this one. I have a clone / cutting that has whorled phyllotaxy. Leaf phyllotaxy describes how leaves are arranged on a branch. [Props to Brindie for give me the definition on that one!] MJ usually has opposite phyllotaxy. (Sets of two leaves, with each set perpendicular to the last one.) This cutting has three leaves per node, or 'whorled phyllotaxy'. I did a google search and found this page, which explains leaf phyllotaxy without being too long-winded: http://www.ct-botanical-society.org/...hyllotaxy.html This is especially unusual as this clone was a cutting from an otherwise normal female white widow plant. All of the other branches on the plant are normal. I have no idea why this branch of the plant was different. I'd also like to note that this cutting developed more roots, much quicker than all of the other cuttings I took. Hopefully when she grows to flower she will have some nice crazy triple-buds.

Here's another shot of the clone, this time in the dark. The clone is in a netted pot with several other cuttings, (waiting to SOG them,) so I erased a few leaves from the picture (from the other plants) to show the 3 leaf cutting better.

Here's a shot of the cutting while lit up. Once again, I erased a few leaves from the bottom of the shot (from the other clones, again...) to make everything easier to see.

Here's a shot that shows the main stem a bit lower down.
