Had to tell someone!! sorry to take up space......but identified 6 females out of the 9 northern lights plants! Poor growroom will be bulging at the seams! Maybe I should start a journal.....though digital camera access is limited!

Glad to hear about your 6 females, that is always a very pleasant surprise. I would sure like to see a journal if you want to post em. What kind of set up do you have as in soil or hyrdo? What kind of lights are you using?

I have a solid ply room, 4 foot long, 2 wide and 5 high with 2 X 250 wat hps bulbs. Growing in coconut fibre/perlight/compost mix. Using ecogrow/ecobloom ferts.
Minimul training (my first indoor experiment needed training heavily because it decided to grow 5foot tall in a 4foot box....it ended up looking like frankenstien's monster tied to a stick! And then after 9 weeks flowering, it rewarded me with bud so weak I had to give it to a friend who was trying to kick getting stoned, but loved reefers!) Lucky I didn't keep a grow journal of THAT grow!
Excuse the quality of the camera....cant see much! First pic is the growroom, a fearsome light emenating.
Second pic is right hand half of the cab, with some new Northern lightz, and a sad looking, but frosty budded old white widow. She had a bad start in life, and was forced to maturity at only 4 inches tall (due to only having one light back then, and a better plant being ready to flower)
Third pic is the very same WW, with as good a shot as my crappy camera will take of its budz!

6 out of 9 females is really good!!! nice to hear you had decent luck with your male to female ratio.

the plant in the last picture looks like it has some fert burns, ouch. hopefully it is all better and recouperating.

Hehe.....no....don't worry....its all under control. This is a plant that was forced to flower when it was only a babe....it then suffered for lack of Nitrogen, as it was still growing when it was fed flowering nutes. In fact, it has some beautifull buds, and will be ready next week. It is only the older fan leaves that are discoloured like that. I am going to try and pollinate the smaller flowers in fact with some of the Northern lights males.....I think it will be a good cross....the small WW, and the smallest of the NL males!

The northern lights look great....very robust, got the feeding right so far. THey do indeed seem to be a little too tall for my grow room (as someone sugested they would!), but with a little training they will manage. I was a little premature witht he sexing....and mistook an early bud for an early preflower.....so in fact I got 5 Females, 4 males. Still....thats good, they will fill the space just right like that!

Nice Nice grow!!!! Anyway, the last pic... CLEAN THOSE LEAVES UP MAN! LoL... clip the dead tips off, they'll grow back

Dont think so....it has few fan leaves....and just one week till the big chop! no time to grow new fans. Hehe.....everyone is more interested in the poor almost discarded weakling than the many strong healthy plants. Wish I could get a pic of the budz on the little fella....they are coming on VERY well.
