Yes indeed, Dry as can be

snwbrdr, Yes finally I must be getting better at drying and curing.
Usually I don't let it dry enough.

I only say that because this time it was thoroughly dryed and for the first time the whole thing was consumable.

All the leaves close to the buds had sugar all over them and when I took (take) it out of the tupperware the whole thing is consumable.
I take a bud out crush it up and roll a joint....tastes sweet.

I've been reading much more about drying and curing and it is a very important part of the process.
Much more than I ever realized when I started this adventure a few years back !

First I had 400gms, then the next day I did the small stuff and wound up with another 100gms.
Then a few days later finished the small stuff and got probably another 50 or so gms.
I just couldn't believe it.
This was definately my best quality and yield size to date.

DangerEd,
Thanks for the props.
I appreciate it.
Finally, I believe I'm starting to know what makes these things grow.
I should qualify that by saying I'm in touch with my system and the strains I've been growing.
If I got another strain or two I probably wouldn't be as in touch with them as I am with this Rockbud and White Widow.
I've had these for almost Three (3) years.

I have some White Russian seeds in storage and I just ordered some Mazar and Wt Rhino.
I may change up soon or try something else inaddition to what I have.

Again, thanks for the props and the interest in what I've been up to.

peace out..............

ya i tend to air on the side of caution when it comes to drying....my first harvest I had some AMAZING buds(not a great yield but hey it was the first) all golden and yummy well anyways i didnt cure them properly and they were ruined with mold. and then another harvest down the road i ran into mold again. and since then i def leave them out longer...sometimes too long but hey at elast i can smoke it all!

congrats on the harvest man Ill be a lucky man if i come anywhere close with my next harvets!

and feel free to update us anytime with your harvests ill be sure to take a peak.

It does take a bit of luck but mostly it takes work and some patience.
I've done a lot of reading and studying about all the phases of cultivation.

Now I know why the site is divided up into all the different parts of cultivation.
Someone thought about what they were doing !
Every stage is important.
Germination, Transplanting, Vegging, Flowering, Harvest & Curing and everything in between.
Nute contents and Temperature, Airflow, Humidity, Etc.

Like I said it takes a bit more than luck but I wouldn't leave that out !

bdigital,
Being new to the site just keep reading and studying grow journals simular to what you want your system to be like or someone that grows the strains you are interested in.
Personally I like couchlock, well done sweet tasting that knocks you out !
Every strain has some little thing about them that might be slightly different.
Some like to be topped, others don't, some respond to LST others have shorter flowering periods but may not have the taste you want.

When you find something you like then get to know it and each crop will get better and better.
Some people jump around and do many strains looking for a certain taste.

Well, good luck and thanks for stopping by !

There really is no right way to grow, you have to resonate with a style and learn what you can,
tweak it to your own style and raise the bar each grow... OD '07

read the grow guide, or start a construction thread, but most importantly use some punctuation.
